I like to think that I don’t show my age. I take good care of myself and keep up with new hair styles and make-up. I feel that I stay modern and young and up to date. I just turned forty and my friends tell me I look a young thirty. I have to admit I when I was younger I never thought it would take this much effort to stay looking good. Actually I couldn't see myself turning 40 years old.

When I was a teenage I used to try all the different hair styles on a whim. If I did not like it I could change it. I did not care if it was practical, I liked to try new things and stand out. When I became a Mom I went with more practice hair styles. I picked hair styles that were easy to care for and child friendly. Now that my children are older I have changed hair styles yet again. I have the time to put more effort into my appearance in the morning, so I can have less practical hair styles again. I may spend a half hour extra in the morning getting my hair right but it is worth it. I like going with a hair style that are a bit more modern looking. Not what the average forty year old is wearing. I look professional and sophisticated, not old fashion like some of my friends.

Make-up styles have also changed a lot. When I was younger bold bright colors were in. When I had my kids to take care of I was lucky if I got out of the house with lipstick and eye shadow on. Again, I can spend a bit more time and care on my make-up now that my kids are older. Now I spend more time repairing or hiding signs of aging. I am learning the art of properly using makeup to show my face to my best advantage

I only recently discovered that my hands were showing my age. Discoloration,dryness and age spots were appearing. I started looking for something to help my hands look younger.
